  • With a view like this, I'm not sure I'd be listening to the sermon! This open-air church is part of Salib Kasih ("Cross of Love") in North Sumatra, which marks the spot where, in 1862, German missionary Dr. Ludwig Ingwer Nommensen commited to converting the Batak people to Christianity. Today, 64% of Batak are Christians and this is a popular pilgrimage spot.
  • "Wait." I'm guilty of using this word far too often.I've been fighting my perfectionist tendencies all my life, but never thought they would hold me back on Instagram of all places. I keep thinking: wait till I re-edit my photos to a better standard. Wait till I can schedule a few months' worth of quality shots instead of random pics that jump from location to location. Wait till I have a relevant article to complement the photo. Wait, wait, wait. It's ridiculous when you think about how ephemeral Instagram is, when the images are so tiny and low-res and will usually disappear from your memory in less than a day.I keep waiting to do better, when I need to just...do.So I'm going to try to just post more and maybe clear my insane backlog of photos from the past two years of travel 😣 hopefully you'll enjoy them. This one was shot in Hakodate, Hokkaido, 1 year ago.Are you waiting and holding yourself back in any aspect your life? Is there one small thing you can do, right now, to change that?
  • Walking through the dim, damp forests of Peramun Hill in search of tarsiers, we came across these. Beautiful but deadly.

Rason (λΌμ„ νŠΉλ³„μ‹œ), North Korea, 2018
.....
Visiting this Special Economic Zone in the #DPRK was nothing like my first trip, which checked off all the usual tourist attractions (and then some, thanks to @dprk360). Rason has a bank. A massive market ground sized and laid out like an outlet mall. A luxury hotel with casino - for tourists only. People seemed less guarded than they were in Pyongyang, perhaps because they cared more about doing business than impressing foreigners. But I was certainly impressed.
  • Finding zen at Natural Way Six Arts Center 🍡
  • Surrounded by concrete and machines, we tend to forget that we're flesh and bone. Living and dying. A part of nature. Although I spent less than an hour in this beautiful little garden, it was enough to refresh my spirit for the rest of my day in Taichung.
When was the last time you admired the nature around you?#roamscapes #lppathfinders #5secondvacay #femaletravelbloggers #instapassport #thecreative #artofvisuals #aroundtheworldpix #travelog #mytinyatlas #visualmobs #theglobewanderer #forahappymoment #exploringtheglobe #travelon #awesome_earthpix #campinassp #visualoflife #vscotaiwan #ExploreTaiwan #iseetaiwan #amazingtaiwan #fujifeed
  • Romantic-ish strolling along the bay with @fotomaniac, as slowly as dusk on that last spring night.
